ooh... I just made some must get done by Dec 23rd goals...with dates attached, made them on Saturday... I haven't looked, but I think I have already missed a due date!
yeah we are in the same place. Not a shelf in the house. We have an entire spare room filled with stacked boxes of books and knick knacks it is the suck! good luck with your organizing.
We have come close to ripping our back garage apart for scrap wood and making shelves.
If you had blogged this about 6 months ago, I probably would have been motivated enough to actually BUY you a bookcase. My recommendation? Watch the craigslist "free" section. Especially around times the college kids will move. That's how I acquired most of my stuff. Though I also bought a bookcase for $10.
Well I feel the need to defend myself now. Those are all the dolls and whatnot from my childhood. I don't have any stuff at my parents' house anymore, and they had to go somewhere.
@Everyone who looked at these photos and had an aneurysm: You're more than welcome to come over and organize my crap, donate shelves, whatever you feel inspired to do. And hey, while you're at it, can I borrow your carpet cleaner? Because I can't even bring myself to post photos of...that problem.
Ok. Seeing as how my dad and brother work at a carpet store, I find it funny that I only just NOW thought to offer them up. You should message adam or call my dad. Chances are they have a shopvac and carpet cleaning solutions galore. And if you had to go over there- they're right behind costco. And everyone loves costco.
I have several bookshelves, and a filing cabinet. And my desk looks EXACTLY like yours, except that it's bigger, so there's more of the crap everywhere thing going on.
