things I don't keep on the computer, despite the convenience

-Address Books
I love having a physical address book to reference.  If you have the same one for years, it's a walk through history to see entries updated and crossed out, names changed.  A few years ago, my mom lost her address book. She cried.  It was silly to put the entries of people who were no longer in her life into a new book, and now she can't look at them as she flips through looking for something.  We still keep my grandmother's address book. It's so comforting to see all the entries in her distinctive writing.

If I don't PHYSICALLY write something down, it won't happen.  I mean write it with a pen.

Again with the physical writing of things, plus the hard visual aide to help me along.
